Sonya Ames is the Founder and Owner of Busy Bee Bookkeeper and is passionate about helping clients clean up their books so that they can get an accurate picture of how their business is doing. She likes finding areas for clients to improve on, such as their income stream, and hard-to-find mistakes that when fixed, can lead to a greater profit.
Busy Bee Bookkeeper provides bookkeeping services, payroll services, consulting for QuickBooks, and training for QuickBooks to small business owners. A recent project Sonya completed for a client included a set up in QuickBooks® which required a two-year clean-up for their business.
The company serves clients in many industries, including professional services such as consulting, law firms, and HR consultants; personal services such as child care services, construction, trades, retail, wholesale, and more.
Prior to starting Busy Bee Bookkeeper in 2019, Sonya started her own business in legal services in 2012. From what she has learned running her own business she decided to branch out to help others that are self-employed or running a small business. Before 2012 Sonya worked for a large retail hardware chain store where she was responsible for payroll and benefit issues. When she’s not working, her favorite activities include reading, gardening and spending time with her five children.
